There is a knack to filling the Habitrail Ovo bottle which you may or may not have tried. Remove the silver cap and fill it with water until completely full and the water starts to run over the brim. Fix the silver cap with the bottle still over the sink, turn it the right way up. There is no need to shake the bottle. A few drops will likely drip out, but then the vacuum will form and the bottle should not drip anymore
